Kitchen Uppers

I have noticed a trend in kitchen cabinets. Have you noticed anything new or maybe you've noticed something missing?  Upper cabinets are disappearing.  Mainly, I have noticed this trend in smaller, cottage kitchens. It's kind of ironic that the smaller kitchens are decreasing the amount of storage but I do believe it makes the space look larger. Also, in most cases, the upper cabinets are replaced with open shelving. This means you can no longer hide the mess behind the cabinet doors.  Another positive is that your kitchenware is easier to see, use and get to! Here are some of my favorite looks...
