It was a sad, sad, sad day, when this publication ceased to exist. I think I stayed in bed a little longer that day. I have not been the same since. Luckily, I saved every copy. One of my favorite sections of the magazine was this little before & after cottage section toward the back. Usually, a subscriber would write in telling the editor about their little cottage & the help they needed. I was always amazed at the simple transformations. Here are a few (well, several...):
