World's Biggest Swimming Pool in CHILE

The swimming pool and the artificial lagoon at San Alfonso Del Mar Resort in Chile are eight hectares in size. The pool was acknowledged by Guinness World Records as being the world’s largest swimming pool with 1,013 m (3,323ft) in length, covers an area of eight hectares (20 acres), a capacity of 250,000 cubic meters of water and is navigable in small boats.
The size of the lagoon is equivalent to 6,000 standard-size 8-meter long swimming pools. It cost $1.5 billion to make and fill and each 6 months $2 million will be spend for maintenance.
The lagoon’s water temperature in summer is 26ºC, nine degrees warmer than the ocean and certainly a feature all the guests appreciate. The tropical setting of the resort consists of docks, private white-sand beaches and palm trees around every building; all of which recreate an edenic spot for residents’ exclusive leisure.
The unique pyramid-like structures of the San Alfonso buildings give every apartment an excellent ocean view. Apartments consist of 2, 3, 4 & 5 bedrooms and a large balcony.
