...and after tidying my desk and filling a bit of paperwork i could get on with some embroidery (just ignore the fact that this pic was taken in the afternoon - once the sun had come out!)
...and who said mondays are bad? today was a good day, the postie was my friend! instead of bringing me a big pile of bills he brought me one of those little red cards telling me that goodies are waiting at the depot. the best kind of goodies, ones that i thought the post monster (a cousin of the sock monster!) had eaten...
...yummy yarn!!!

...yummy yarn!!!
...most of this yarn is from here. the chocolate brown rowan luxury cotton is from here, i've been wanting a good stock of this one for a while now, it has four strands, two chocolate and two grey twisted together to give a lovely subtle marl effect - just beautiful! i was pleasantly surprised by the burnt orange nautical cotton by Louisa Harding, because it looked red on the site, but this colour is amazing - so rich, vibrant and autumnal. i've not used her yarns before so i'm really looking forward to knitting it up...
...but first i need to show it all off to my fellow ravelers and try to decide which pattern would best suit which yarn - no mean feat, i can tell you :)
...spanner says hello! don't be fooled by how cute he looks, he would lick you to death in an instant...
