Merry christmas...

...i found this fabulous little clip a few weeks ago after my man told me all about ferrofluid, he was wondering on a way to include it in a card trick - but i had no idea what he was talking about!
...the principle is like the magnet and iron filings test you used to do at school - you put the magnet under a sheet of paper and the filings on top - the magnetic forces pull the filings into pretty fan like patterns. ferrofluid is the equivalent of these iron filings but suspended in a liquid and when a magnetic force is applied it becomes this amazing moving liquid sculpture...

...i thought they looked just like little christmas trees :) - not that i'm trying to lower the intellectual tone...
