We have had the SLIME of our lives!

Top TEN must do, must know things for the SLIME of your life at Nick Hotel:

1. Reserve a Character Breakfast.

2. Reserve a Cabana.

3. When reserving your room, look for deals on Nick Hotel's Facebook, Web Site & Twitter.

4. Bring Earplugs.

5. There is probably 3 children for every 1 adult. Be prepared to be patient.

6. This is a Holiday Inn Property. Expect Holiday Inn quality and you will be pleasantly surprised (correction: As of Jan. 2009, Nick Hotel is no longer associated with Holiday Inn. It is an independent property). I just found this out!

7. Dress for Florida. Cotton works. Less clothing works.

8. We rented a car (the resort does have transportation to all the theme parks etc.). Sometimes it is good to take a break from SpongeBob.

9. Building 7 is centrally located. Lower floors are better, you can take stairs and not have to wait on elevators.

10. Enroll the kids in the "Kid's Club" at night. Enjoy some adult time (the strawberry daiquiris are the best).

11. Yes, I know I said 10 but I suck at math. This resort is perfect for kids. I can't say this enough about this. The resort revolves around making sure your "pride & joy" is happy, entertained and safe. In fact, while at Disney & Universal Studios, Max asked to leave early to come back to Nick Hotel to play. I am so glad we spent $400 on Disney tickets and $500 on Universal Studios tickets for Max to ask to leave and go back to the hotel. It was that good...

Universal Studios, Nick Hotel & One More Day to Enter the Giveaway!

Another fun day. Pool, tattoos, dancing, sliming, pie-in-the-face, Universal Studios, Spiderman, Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Jimmy Neutron, Water Rides, More Water Rides and sunshine! Another perfect day!

Word to the wise: Buy the Fast Express Pass when purchasing Universal Studio tickets. Yes, it adds about $60 to each ticket but do it anyway. When the line said 60 minutes for waiting, our wait was less than 5 minutes. I am not kidding. No waiting. It was worth it's price in gold.

Can we say, FUN? Byron has become a kid again. Max is in his glory. Life is good and fun.

This was my attempt to take Max's picture. I kept saying, "Max, look at the camera! Max, stop standing on your head! Max! Max!" I gave up.

This morning we went to the Nick Hotel's Character Breakfast. If you ever stay at Nick Hotel, you must make a reservation for this breakfast. They do a tremendous job of making sure all the kids get to spend time with characters. The food is good (buffet with omelet & pancake stations-typical) and the waitstaff is attentive. This is a great experience. Max loved seeing SpongeBob and he gave Dora a big kiss. It was really sweet, especially since he has out-grown Dora :(

This is another "Must Do." Rent a Cabana. Just do it. Trust me. You get a Cabana attendant who is extremely attentive, a ceiling and floor fan, refrigerator, PS2, TV, padded lounge chairs, towels and fresh towels, ice, shade and privacy. Again, so worth it.

Our suite is a nice room: spacious and clean. Max loves his bunk beds and wall mural. He has his own TV and PS2. Byron & I have a great comfortable bed. We slept great. Luckily, we brought earplugs, because this is a family resort :)

The water park is right outside our door. We are only on the second floor so getting to the pool is super easy. The resort is so colorful and bright. Max of course is in his glory. I am in my glory with the strawberry daiquiris (I even took a picture of the bar)!

Nick Hotel...The First Time (Circa 2007)!

This was our first vacation with Max. He was in that "Wild Terrible 3" stage and this vacation was the perfect spot for our family (& Grandmommy joined us!). We reserved a 3 bedroom room, so it was perfect for our Dynamic. Grandmommy had her private room, Max had the bunk-bed room and we had our own private bedroom. The room also had 2 baths, a living room & kitchen. They call them hotel rooms, but they are more like condos.

Most of our time was spent at the on-site water park and we took one day to go to Sea World. We rented a car but the hotel provides shuttles to all the "Hot Spots". One of Max's favorite was the character breakfast! All the characters took their time with each child and we never felt overwhelmed or rushed. Lots of great photo opportunities!

I can't wait to see the new pictures from this weeks trip. I know Max has grown but until you compare it photos you don't realize how much!

We are leaving in a couple of hours and should be at the Nick Hotel by 4pm (Just in time to hang out poolside!). Max has been singing the Sponge Bob theme song all morning. Secretly, I think he is hoping to see I-Carly :)
