Nine years of marriage. I would not trade a single day for the 3,285 I have gotten to spend with him. Hopefully when you are reading this, I am sitting on a beach with a cocktail in my hand.
I love you my readers. Did you know we have been together for a year now? That's 296 posts!

I will be back blogging May 17th.

Cheap Father's Day Idea: The Coupon Book
Max and I made this little coupon book and gave it to Byron for Valentine's Day but this project would make a great Father's day gift.
What I did: I scanned in several of Byron's neckties. I then used www.picnik.com to add text to the top of the necktie pattern. After I had several different looks and coupon sayings, I cropped, printed and stapled them together at the top. Very Easy!
Pick out your ties and scan them into jpg files
Use some kind of photo editing software, I used Picnik, add text
Crop, print and staple
Ta-Da!
The last coupon says "Coffee on Us" and it included a Starbucks GC
Have fun with your own version!

Bear with me...
sweet friends...
Byron had back surgery yesterday and I have been thrown for a loop. So, I might be a little scarce on my blog, my time management is out the window but I promise good things to come :)
I'll be back in a couple of days...

Happy Birthday, Byron!
Happy Birthday to the love of my life. You are the most patient, honorable, supportive human being I have ever met. I am truly blessed to be by your side, celebrating your birthday with you.

Cooking Up A Storm with Pioneer Woman
I have been sick. I must have the immune system of a kid who attends public school and licks the floor because the symptoms just keep coming. So, as we all know, Moms do not get sick days. Not only do we keep on cleaning, organizing, running errands etc. We keep on cooking. This lead me to a moment with my family...one of those "Come to Jesus" moments. They listened and they cooked.
God Bless Them. God Bless Pioneer Woman.
XOXO

O Canada!
This is my first post to this new blog format...we'll see how it goes. Yes, it has been a crazy three or four weeks for us and I don't see it slowing down for at least another month. Christy was gone to training in Dallas for her job for a week, so I had to play taxi driver to get him to all his activities, and now it has been my turn to travel. I have been to Washington, Alaska, Ohio, and now I am sitting in Canada...all in the past 2 weeks. At least I am getting some good frequent flyer miles. I am very proud of Max these last few weeks, he is really enjoying all the sports activities and seems to be doing great this year. Hopefully next week I can actually get to go to a soccer game! -Byron
