BrisStyle Indie Eco Market Wrap Up

Despite the wet weather forecast the sun came out on Saturday morning and our eco-loving BrisStylettes were out in full force to give the earth a big hug with their fabulous recycled, re-purposed, earth friendly and vintage wares for the second BrisStyle Indie Eco Market.

Huge thanks goes out to our wonderful eco friends at Peppermint magazine for supporting the event.

And a shout out to our friends at Reverse Garbage, Northey Street City Farm and the very vivacious Chrys Zantis for injecting some fun and colour into the day.

Shoppers took some time out to get crafty with the fabulous BrisStylettes running workshops on the day including softie making with Wicked Child Designs, 'kool candle' making at Spoil and Indulge, kumihimo braiding with TrishAlan Designs and all the other fabulous eco initiatives from our clever members.

And who could forget BrisStyle's top ten hit 'Crafty Lady' performed by Dennis of Music 4 You, we all love this fabulous rendition of the Jimi Hendrix classic. Dennis can be contacted at music4you@live.com.au or at his myspace page.

Shoppers also enjoyed the beautiful harp playing of our very own BrisStylette Eliza, creator of Galozels.

But by far the best outcome of the day and one that every raffle ticket buyer should be proud of is the $265 raised on the day for Peninsula Animal Aid which will be used to sponsor a dog pen for one year! A big thank you to all the BrisStylettes who contributed to the raffle and all the fabulous people who bought tickets!

Thanks to everyone who travelled far and wide to visit the BrisStyle Indie Eco Market!

And now get your shopping lists ready and let's all stick it to the retail giants of the City at the next BrisStyle instalment:
