Crochet goodies...

...so here are the little goodies i've been trying to photograph all week...

...still not the best picture - just as the sun was coming round a layer of clouds decided to creep across the sky! it's been such a long time since i've made any of these little flowers for my designs. i dug out my fine hooks and threads after being inspired by my friend ivy's crochet creations, have a peek at her blog to read about her exciting news! obviously my efforts aren't nearly as beautiful as hers...

...amongst my pastel shades of thread i found some spools of gold. so last night i had a lovely relaxing evening on the sofa with a couple of films and made these little decorations...

...i can't remember exactly how i made them, i know there was a lot of improvising based on a basic flower and square motif all mixed up with a couple of glasses of wine!

...they look fab on the tree, i wanted a theme this year and chose 'vintage gold'. so i picked out all the gold and silver baubles, and raided my stash of trims for something suitably vintage looking that could replace the tinsel...

...and this is our little tree in all it's glory - it's a four foot plastic one that my man bought for our first christmas together :) all finished off with a couple of suitably festive dog toys underneath, yep - rudolph has seen better days...

...now that i'm feeling a bit more festive i think it's time to wrap some presents...
