17 Foot Tall Gandhi Papercraft

Here's a very impressive and inspirational 17 foot tall Gandhi papercraft from artist Joseph DeLappe (Associate Professor of the Dept. of Art - University of Nevada). Technically not papercraft / dipping into cardboardcraft, at this size I'm pretty sure paper is not an option because it's not going to be rigid enough. This Gandhi is based on the designer's character/avatar from Second Life (internet-based virtual world). For those interested in creating larger than life papercrafts/cardboardcraft you can check out Mr. Delappe's step-by-step process at the link below - Pepakura is involved :)

This is not your regular papercraft, technically, cardboard is made out of paper so I guess we'll just say that it's a very very thick papercraft.

With SCEA's recent blitz campaign full of awesome Metal Gear Solid announcements, Kotakuite Kai-Hung "Chilli Coke" Chuang couldn't get enough MGS love so he had to create this 1:1 masterpiece. Pay attention to the detail, he really took time to nail every bit. If you want to create your own, the link to the original pattern is available below.
