Clean showers and unclogging drains and go green!

Here are two recipes to make green easy for the maintenance of your home!

Clean shower

1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) soda

1 teaspoon (4 ml) borax

1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) biodegradable dish soap

3 tablespoon (45 ml) vinegar

2 cups (500 ml) boiling water

Spray the walls, scrub and rince.

To unclog the drains

3 tablespoon (45 ml) soda

1/2 cup (125 ml) hot vinegar

Pour soda down the drain followed by hot vinegar.  Let stand 20 to 30 minutes.  Then pour the boiling water to rinse.

Safe for the environment!  Try it!

Scouring Powder:

• 4 parts baking soda
• 1 part borax

Rub with a damp sponge
