Final Fantasy XII: Van

final fantasy xii cosplay - van / vaan / vannA 17-year-old orphan who lost both his parents and his only brother Reks, Van is a cheerful and energetic boy who dreams of becoming a sky pirate in command of his own airship. As part of his “training”, he kills dire rats in the sewers of Rabanastre on a daily basis, earning him the nickname “Van Ratsbane”. He makes a living as Migelo’s assistant, running errands and at the same time, pick pocketing from Archadian soldiers, claiming to be taking back what is Dalmasca’s.

Beautifully detailed cosplay! It looks like the silver parts of the armor are made of heavy paper or cardboard. I wonder if the gauntlets are made of the same material? Thanks again to Syaza for the contribution!

Final Fantasy XII: Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca

final fantasy xii cosplay - ashe ashelia b'nargin dalmascaA 19-year-old Hume Princess, Ashe is the only living child of King Raminas making her the sole heir to the throne. She was married to Rasler Heios Nabradia, who died to protect Nalbina Fortress right after their marriage. Although it appeared to be nothing more than a political marriage, they truly loved each other, as Ashe still wears her wedding ring 2 years after his death. She fought to liberate her kingdom, Dalmasca, from the Archadian Empire.

Beautiful Ashe! I love this cosplayer’s attention to details, and the way she posed makes her look strong and elegant. Thanks to Umbria for sending this in!

Final Fantasy XII: Fran

final fantasy xii cosplay - franA powerful Viera warrior who specializes in long range attacks using her bow and arrows, Fran handles the maintenance of Balthier’s airship, the Strahl. She is the wisest among the cast, a fitting role being her life span is much longer than the rest. She is the eldest of the group, despite her youthful appearance.

I’ve heard that I’ve been showing too many Asian cosplayers again, a pretty common critique now a days. I guess it’s a lot easier to find Asian cosplayers than Western ones. Admittedly, I am a fan of Asian cosplayers, but I also feature non-Asian ones like this when they catch my attention.

I apologize if my blog seems biased to some, if not most. It’s really not my intention.
